From Milenia Hernandez with LUCE KY on behalf of the Lopez famiy:

Marvi Eduardo López (15) is a Guatemalan American at Southern High School in Louisville, Kentucky who enjoyed watching anime, playing soccer, and wanted to serve as a policeman when he was older. On January 12th, he passed. His older brothers are left with the task of raising funds for the burial. They would like the funeral to be held in Guatemala, as most of their family is there as well as their mothers burial site. In order to send Marvi to Guatemala to rest with his family, they need $8,000 dollars so as to transport him and have a proper ceremony. If you are unable to donate at this time but still wish to help, please share this crowdfunding. Thank you for your kindness as Marvi’s family grieves during this hard time.

From the Lesley & Rhyan Prather Foundation:

This situation is tragic and the family can use all the love and support that they can get. This foundation is not only creating this crowdfunding page but will be covering a portion of the burial expense as well to hopefully ease some of the financial burden that the Lopez family is experiencing and will allow them to have time as a family.

The Lesley & Rhyan Prather Foundation is a federally approved non profit organization (EIN: 85-2888525) and all donations are considered tax deductible. LRPFD does not take a percentage of any donation, all proceeds raised goes directly to covering burial/transport fees with any remaining funds going to the family. If your company offers a donation match program, you can submit your donation to your work and those funds will be allocated to the family as well.
