The Buckner family took their son, Colt, to the doctor for what they believed to be a stomach bug and it turned out to be much more. After multiple trips and 14 days in the children's hospital in Louisville, Colt was air flighted to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital to receive treatment on his Liver as they specialize in liver care. The medical staff diagnosed him with a very severe case of Adenovirous, but it was too late. Colt fought hard, but was not able to recover. He went peacefully as his mommy and daddy read him his favorite books and tucked him in one last time.

This link is being created as a way to show support to the Buckner family in their time of need. This family is experiencing every parents worse nightmare and this is a way for those that love the Buckner family and their community to rally behind them to show that we are praying, supporting and lifting them up during this difficult time.

Money raised through this fundraiser will go towards medical, cost of Colton’s celebration of lif and any other expenses that are incurred by the family. If there are additional funds remaining they will be donated to adenovirus research so that other families can potentially know more about this virus should one of their kids get this virus.

From the Lesley & Rhyan Prather Foundation:

This situation is tragic and the family can use all the love and support that they can get. This foundation is not only creating this crowdfunding page but will be making a donation as well to hopefully ease some of the financial burden that the Buckner family is experiencing and will allow them to have time as a family.

The Lesley & Rhyan Prather Foundation is a federally approved non profit organization (EIN: 85-2888525) and all donations are considered tax deductible. LRPFD does not take a percentage of any donation, all proceeds raised goes directly to the family. If your company offers a donation match program, you can submit your donation to your work and those funds will be allocated to the family as well.
